Uncover the mystery of a town in the midwest that has trapped anyone who enters. As the residents struggle to maintain a sense of normalcy and search for a way out, they must also survive the dangers of the surrounding forest. Check out our list of revivals and cancellations to see if your favorite show has made it. The town set was built specifically for the series in North Beaver Bank, Nova Scotia. The site, known as Beaver Bank Villa, has a long history and many years ago housed housing units, a community hall, a fire station, a school, a church, a store, etc. (all demolished by 2004) to support workers at a nearby military radar base that operated in the 1950s and 1960s. All that remains are the cobblestone streets and driveways, and a mock town has been built on top of them. As Boyd enters a distant tree, he finds himself at the bottom of a well. A rope is lowered down to him. When Boyd comes out of the well, Martin is the only one in the room and he is chained to the wall. Martin did not drop the rope. I have enjoyed this show so far and the acting, mysteries, etc. Definitely very cool. However, I am starting to get a little worried that this show is leaning too much towards the "Lost" vibe. While "Lost" was also a fantastic show in terms of acting, direction, etc. I ended up getting annoyed by how much mystery there was to be mysterious. Watching the second season, I constantly felt a little annoyed every time another strange case came up. a mystery was introduced, be it a symbol, an object, a thing, an event… mostly because I can’t stop myself from thinking, “Will this be important in any way in the long run? Or is it just one of those things that’s there-a mysterious mist creature or a hatch or a light etc. It’s never mentioned or explained again aaa-somehow, ever. Because that kind of mystery writing just annoys me in the end because the writer can get caught up in the back and pull out absolutely anything and never come back to it. Okay, there’s a llama in a red hat whispering the words "paleontological" and "shovel"!" and that’s it, forgotten one season later, without explanation, it was just to be weird. Will still keep watching, but if it ends one day, and it’s just on the level of "it was all in his head!" and there’s not even an attempt to tie some kind of theme-logic to all this, so consider this review at least 2-3 points lower…
