The site, known as the Beaver Bank Villa, has a long history and many years ago contained housing units, a community hall, a fire station, a school, a church, a shop, etc. (all demolished by 2004) to support workers at a nearby military radar base that operated in the 1950s and 1960s. All that remains are the paved streets and driveways, and a fake town has been built on them.. When Boyd enters the distant wood, he finds himself at the bottom of a well. So far I loved this series, the acting and the mysteries etc. They are definitely really cool. However, I’m starting to worry a little that this is going too far towards the "Lost" vibe. While "Lost" was also a fantastic show in terms of acting, directing etc. On What really annoyed me was how much mystery was there just for the sake of being mysterious. Watching the second season, I got a little annoyed every time another strange mystery was introduced, whether it was a symbol, an object, a thing, happening… mostly because I can’t stop myself from thinking "Will this be relevant in any way in the long run? Is this just one of those there-is-a-mysterious-mist-creature or an opening or a light etc. That is never mentioned again or explained in any way, ever. Because that kind of writing about mysteries just annoys me in the end, because a writer can reach into their butt and pull out absolutely everything and never go back to it."Okay next, there’s a llama in a red hat whispering the words "paleontological" and "shovel"!" and that’s it, forgotten one season later, without explanation, it was just there to be weird. I’ll keep watching though, but if this one day ends on the level of "it was all in his head!" and there’s no attempt to connect any topics-logics with all that, then consider this review at least 2-3 points lower…
